Your 200-hour training prepared you to guide your students through an in-depth yoga practice. Now, it is time to give them the next step. Meditation.

    Sacred Chill {West}’s Meditation Immersion is designed for Yoga Teachers looking to incorporate meditation into their classes as well as for those wanting to deepen a personal meditation practice. In this 15-hour course, you will:
    • Experience extended meditations
    • Learn how to modify meditative postures for comfort
    • Discover the differences between the most common meditation styles
    • Create your own guided meditations
    • Find your meditative voice through practice teaches with the guidance of a mentor

    Expect to walk away comfortable with a silent, at-home meditation practice as well as ready to incorporate mini-meditations into your yoga classes. This is part of our CEU program, designed to give experienced teachers additional tools to create a speciality as a professional teacher.

    Meryl Arnett, E-RYT 500 and Co-Owner of SCW, has been teaching in Atlanta since 2010. Her passion is introducing mindfulness in ways that are accessible to all of us.   • From Tough to Tender A Mindful Minute Retreat

    As we move towards the fall, let’s take time to step into sacred space, to slough off the calcifications of this year and to re-awaken the softest parts of ourselves.

    Join me on this all-inclusive, 10-person weekend retreat at the beautiful Elohee Thanksgiving House in North Georgia. We will spend 3 days and 2 nights combining yoga, meditation and reflection as a way to shift ourselves from cynicism to hope, from tough to tender.

    The 220 acres of undeveloped land where Elohee rests is called Landsong. It is located in the North Georgia mountains in the foothills of the Blue Ridge near the village of Sautee Nacoochee. The Elohee Center at Landsong provides a retreat space in Nature to allow for self-exploration, individual growth, and mind/body healing. It is a place where Earth and Air, Fire and Water nurture wisdom both ancient and new.

    Our retreat will call The Thanksgiving House our home. With shared and private rooms available, this cozy house offers plenty of community space, an outdoor fireplace overlooking a 100-foot waterfall. You can expect daily yoga, meditation and guided reflection time, as well as some free time to explore the hiking trails or to savor silence and a cup of tea. All meals and snacks are included and made from fresh, organic ingredients prepared by a professional chef. Dietary requests are easily accommodated.

    Our first session begins at 5:30 p.m.

    Sunday ends at 1 p.m. after a farewell lunch

  • Deep Listening A Silent Half-Day Retreat

    A silent, half-day meditation retreat

    The exploration of silence is one of our most sacred practices; it is an exploration of the soul. This half-day retreat is an opportunity for inner listening, for reflecting, and for intention setting. We sit on the first day of autumn to welcome in the harvest of all our work thus far. This is a rich time to broaden your awakening and deepen your understanding of yourself and your practice.

    This retreat in broken into alternating sessions of seated meditation and walking meditation. Our program will begin with an introduction and explanation of both practices as well as a review of our different options for seated practice.

    Tea and light snacks will be available throughout the half-day experience. Please bring a journal and pen with you.

    Give yourself the gift of not only this experience but time and space afterwards. Don’t schedule a noisy, busy afternoon. Stay at home. Get your grocery shopping/meal planning/to-do-list-making done earlier so that this day seamlessly shifts from the silent retreat to the comforts of home, whether alone or with the company of your family.
