Part 3 of my Meditation for Anxiety series couldn’t come at a better time. I am just back from the vacation from hell… truly.

My fournado lived up to his name in every way. 

My baby got sick for the first time with a high fever. 

We were all sharing a room which meant no sleep for any of us. 

Our flight home was delayed… 

Need I go on?

The funny thing is I kept wishing we would get home. It’ll be better when we are home, I kept telling myself. And, then we got home, and you know what? My fournado is still four. The baby is still sick. We still haven’t gotten much sleep…

This is a classic example of the magical thinking that robs us of the opportunity for peace.
