Every year, I am delighted to join the Positive Impact Health Centers team for AIDS Walk Atlanta. My greatest joy as a teacher, is getting to offer yoga & meditation classes within PIHC’s substance abuse rehabilitation program. Each year, the funds I raise through the AIDS Walk get funneled directly back to support these offerings.
Your donations in the past have helped me grow these offerings from one class to three. Last year, along with my colleague Tom Murphy, we presented a seminar at the Association for Specialist in Group Work National Conference in D.C. based on our work incorporating yoga and mindfulness into a traditional trauma/substance abuse treatment protocols. I also began on ongoing mindfulness podcast for our clients as well as clients in similar treatment programs. This year, I am expanding our yoga offerings to include a partnership with shame-resiliance curriculum.
Will you consider donating $10 this year to help support the continued success and growth of these classes? Your gift makes a direct difference to the amazing clients and staff of Positive Impact.
