  • Monday Night Meditation Series The First 3 Mondays of Each Month

    Join me every Monday night from 7:30 – 8:15p.m. for my Monday Night Meditation Series. Each month, we will focus on a new community intention designed to inspire and ignite your meditation practice! The first 3 Mondays of the month will introduce the series and the remaining Mondays are make-up days or extra practices!

  • Summer Solstice Evening Meditation

    Friday, June 21
    8 – 10 p.m.

    On the longest day of the year, we will sit together in this potent time of transition to reflect on our mid-year intentions, what we’ve sown, and what we hope to harvest.

    We will savor the long day’s sun, the silence of an extended meditation, and a journaling experience. Some meditation guidance will be offered along with an extended silent meditation time.

  • Meditation Teacher Immersion A CEU Program

    August 23 – 25, 2019

    The traditional yoga practice was originally designed to support extended periods of meditation, and yet most of us, as yoga teachers, received very little formal training in meditation. Your 200-hour training prepared you to guide your students through an in-depth yoga practice. Now, it is time to give them the next step. Meditation.

    The research surrounding meditation shows it is powerfully potent, physically and chemically changing your brain, boosting immune function and increases positive emotions.
    Meryl’s Meditation Immersion is designed for Yoga Teachers looking to incorporate meditation into their classes as well as for those wanting to deepen a personal meditation practice. In this 15-hour course, you will:
    • Experience extended meditations
    • Learn how to modify meditative postures for comfort
    • Discover the differences between the most common meditation styles
    • Create your own guided meditations
    • Find your meditative voice through practice teaches with the guidance of a mentor

    Expect to walk away comfortable with a silent, at-home meditation practice as well as ready to incorporate mini-meditations into your yoga classes. This is part of our CEU program, designed to give experienced teachers additional tools to create a speciality as a professional teacher.

  • Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training 210 Hour Certification

    Begins September 2019

    From a more centered and grounded place every single movement – whether it’s in our bodies, hearts, family, the front lines of a protest, service, work, or leadership – every movement born from stillness is exponentially more powerful. Our lead teachers Octavia and Meryl {O+M} ‘s most powerful “moves” in the yoga room and beyond were born from stillness This is why we teach – Be still, then move.

    The stillness based practices of yin and restorative yoga are at the heart of our training. Meditation is the breath of our training. Movement and mindful flow-based practices are the vessels and lungs. They are all essential and equally emphasized. Beyond the traditional postures that we can take on the mat, our training is a course in the cultivation of Self and an invitation to be in deep inquiry about how we can build community, real connections, and effect change; how we can create movement(s) grounded in yoga beyond our mats.
