Nature-Based Meditations
Our Mindful Nature explores the deep connection between the land and Self through nature-based meditations that invite us back into belonging - to each other, our ancestors, the earth, and all beings that make up this universe.
This podcast features interviews, guided meditations, and collaborations with some of the top nature field recordists of our time. Each episode is created with the goal of fostering connection and resilience in the face of climate crisis. You can expect classes centered on accessible, equitable, communal well-being primarily through nature-based meditations created through the lens of Tantric meditation and Spiritual Ecology.
Now, let’s grab a cup of tea, a comfy seat and settle in for today’s practice.
Listen
Thinking vs. Feeling
That moment when your meditation teacher says, “pay attention to your breath…” and you secretly think, “WTH does that even mean?!” and spend the meditation writing your grocery list.
Being Enough
“For me, and for many of us, our first waking thought of the day is “I didn’t get enough sleep.” The next one is “I don’t have enough time.” Whether true or not, that thought of not enough occurs to us automatically before we even think to question or examine it. We spend most of the hours and the days of our lives hearing, explaining, complaining, or worrying about what we don’t have enough of… We don’t have enough exercise. We don’t have enough work. We don’t have enough profits. We don’t have enough power. We don’t have enough wilderness. We don’t have enough weekends. Of course, we don’t have enough money – ever.
Having Enough
This week’s talk is focused on HAVING ENOUGH. Now, I’m not here to tell you not to want or hope or dream for yourself. Not at all. Yet, it is valuable to reflect on unhealthy desire vs. healthy desire for the sake of our happiness.
Doing Enough
This week was the start of our newest Meditation Series: You Are Enough. The next 3 weeks, we will be exploring Doing Enough, Having Enough & Being Enough. As we introduced doing enough this week, our focus was on the FEELING of doing enough.
Real Life Real Love - Part 3 of 3
In this final installment we look at the last component of living and loving with our whole hearts. We consider the possibility of authentic, deep human connection.
Real Life. Real Love. Part 2 of 3.
In the second episode of my Real Life Real Love series, we talk compassion. My understanding and practice of compassion is the belief that it is ALL about connecting with heart and without judgment. The very basis of compassion is acceptance, and acceptance brings us right back to ourselves…
Real Life. Real Love. - part 1 of 3
This class is the first of 3 in my new series: Real Life. Real Love.
Creativity & Faith
Sharon Salzberg defines faith as the “learning to trust our own deepest experience.”
